Livelihoods and Value Chains Development

Nowadays, Belief is something luxury in our dynamic and rapid changing lives. Conservative people just simple don’t believe in what sustainable, equitable, inclusive, and healthy approaches have been applied so far. Loosing belief is one of the most dangerous social phenomena that could negatively lead to an extinction of human being. Therefore, I have proposed and applied the BELIEF Framework for sustainable livelihood development during the last 10 years. The BELIFE is a holistic framework that encourages all stakeholders/ players to consider biodiversity conservation (environmental protection) and livelihood (social inclusion) when focusing on economic development. Also, the BELIFE framework reminds all stakeholders to integrate macro and micro interventions vertically (applying Participatory Integrated Approach or PIA) and as well as horizontally mainstream cross-cutting issues (such as gender and ethnicity equity) into circular economy.  In addition, BELIFE provides a guidance to development designers and practitioners to concentrate on efficient and feasible elements when propose any livelihoods and/or value chain development initiatives/interventions. If everyone has BEFIFE, then they can shift from “EGO” paradigm to “ECO” world where humans can happily live in harmony to nature.
