- Sustainable Landscapes and Natural Resource Management
The last 20 years working in natural resource management field has taught me many lessons. I recognized that “dysfunctional environmental governance risks in the context of fast economic growth” and “selfishness, greedy and apathy” are some of the most fundamental drivers leading to destroying natural resources and losing biodiversity. Therefore, we need a holistic approach with a “spiritual and cultural transformation” to ensure that no organism will let behind, leading to live in harmony to nature. Sustainable landscape is one of the promising approaches that has been contributing to maintaining and enhancing natural resources. Together with my colleagues, I have employed the Sustainable Landscape Approach to achieve triple bottom line (social, economic and environmental returns).
